Owner Spotlight: Erin Kouvertaris

I’m Erin Kouvertaris, the proud owner of Mortgages By Erin. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I have always had a mind for numbers and used this gift to my advantage, getting my degree in finance in 2004. Upon graduation, I was quickly pulled into the real estate sector and subsequently stayed performing in various roles over many years. During my tenure as administrator of a local real estate company, I saw an opportunity to use my experience and education in finance to focus on mortgages. With a background in real estate and a degree in finance, the way I see it, mortgage brokering was a natural progression for me.

After making the transition ten years ago, I soon realized I had an opportunity to really make a difference in my community. In my decade as a leading mortgage agent in the Toronto area, I have seen many industry changes as qualification and policy guidelines evolve and are updated often. I have learned to adapt by keeping up to date with trends and changes in the market, and keep my clients informed.

I strive to put my client’s interest at the front of my list of priorities and find the best part of my job is the strong relationships I have with multiple generations of my clients. I find it extremely rewarding knowing that my practice is in the business of dream fulfillment and love making my clients’ dream of home ownership a reality. As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from my competitors is my commitment to my clients, my craft, and dedication to hard work.

My mortgage services are available at any time to answer my clients’ questions and concerns. I always make time to find creative solutions for even the most unique situations by taking a very hands-on approach to their financial needs. I am forthcoming with my clients and set realistic expectations while keeping my customers up to date on the progression of their application. 

I can truthfully say that the high point of my work-life is finding a solution for a person who originally thought they would never qualify for home financing, and seeing their face when they move into their dream home has given me immense satisfaction over the years. 

When I am not at work, I’m kept on my toes by my toddler. I find parenting rewarding and feel privileged my job currently allows me to spend so much quality time with him. I enjoy watching him grow and learn to interact with the world around him, he is my little star.
